Hey guys, I have a 99 Ranger 4.0 I am droppning a explorer 4.0 that I pulled out of a wrecked 99 Explorer 4.0 OHV. Anyway the Cam sensor or the Explorer has a 2 pin and the Ranger motor has a 3 pin. So my question is can I just swap sensors or is there more to it.

Thanks for any help in advance

I guess all there is to do isl try it out, and see what happens.

Yes just swap sensors

ok so this has turnout to be a nightmare! I had a friend who runs a shop come look at this before I went any further. He said that the syncronizer had to come out, so he pulled it out and didn't set the motor to TDC and did not mark the position of the sensor.

SO... Any Ideas. I know this was easily avoidable, but its done now so now I have to deal with it.

As always thanks for any help
