c4 tranny ???

ive got a 88 mustang gt 5.0 with a 98 explorer accessories and brackets goin into a 94 4x4 ranger. ive found a c4 tranny to go with it but ive been looking online and its from a 68 torino and has the 24 spline input. im wondering if its a big deal to go to all the trouble of upgrading it to the 26 spline?

why upgrade? I've never heard of a 5.0 tearing up an input shaft on a c4.

I've built a few cars that have punched out and worked windsors in them with a 24 spline c4 and never had an issue.

Its more of a hastle to upgrade something that doesn't need to be upgraded. if i were you i'd just let it ride.......
