I bought this c Clip eliminator spring from the parts store...

http://www.jamesoaksenterprises.com/products/d28-d35-ttb.htm

I dont see how this could ever work... I already had to cut my axle shaft male spline down as it is to get the dalm thing to plunge enough, with this spring in there too it will never work!

Shouldnt these things fit over the axle shaft like the (external link in the tech library)?

Anybody else run into this issue?

I shortened my inner axle around 3/8" and it's never given me problems. I used the Echo chainsaw spring though.

External spring here also.
There really isn't enough room for an internal spring at all on the D35 (D44s seem to have a hair more room, which I think is where the int. spring idea initially came from).

I have no idea... I'm intrigued tho... I use the external spring.

Plus you could buy 10 of the external style springs for the price of that one internal style....

I bought the Dalm thing already... another $30 out the window... maybe I can sell it on ebay... lol

I had to cut the inner shaft to get my echo spring to fit. I just cut off where the original c-clip went. Worked fine after that.

Now you can never put the c clip back in if you have a problem huh?

Should never need it again. lol If I do I have 3 sets of spare shafts. I hoard d35 ttb parts.

For the people who want to run the full circlips. fastenal has 30mm circlips which are closer to the thickness of the c clips that the 5-760x u joint come with.

spicer c-clip is .057" thick
1-3/16" c-clip is .047" thick
30mm c-clip is 1.44-1.5mm (need to check when they come in but thats what tolerence sheet says)

I shortened my passenger side long shaft round 3/8" or so. You shouldn't have to trim your inner inner passenger side shaft. That's just a no-no

That's what I was thinking. Lol

I used the Echo ext. spring for about 3-4 years now with about 10-11" of travel and never had a problem. Thats the way to go me thinks...
