C-6 input shaft

I have a c-6 tranny i am putting in my ranger. My question is

Will the imput shaft come right out when pulled? I pulled mine right out. Just wondering, i am not very familiar with auto trannys. Thanks for any help.

Yes the input shaft will slide out. Not always the best idea because there are a few thrust washers in there if stuff is a little loose or gets bumped around they will slide out of place. I'm trying to remember exactly; I've been inside both C4s and C6s but that was a few years ago. You should be ok though, the bands will keep the drums in place.
