buyer paypal question

After you buy an item and the seller dosent respond to emails.How long should I give him before I file a claim?I know things happen in life and computers can crash.So how long would you guys wait?

I believe there is a set amount of days before PayPal will even look into it. Then the seller has 7 days to respond, then they review it, etc.

It's one hell of a process, but at least you'll get your money back.

Usually they respond in a few days.....I had to hassle one guy for a year to get my stuff....

but that's been the only problem in 5 years.....

I payed for something and asked the guy to send me a tracking number when he shipped.He said ok but its been 10 days since I heard from him.I have tried pms and emails but still no reply.I just dont want to jump the gun and file a pay pal dispute.I just wondered how long I should give him?

paypal sucks the big one. some of the sellers on ebay are professional schmucks. If you want a prompt response give him negative feedback he will contact you shortly after I promise. Then you will hear his lame excuse and spin it onto you as the problem. Slam him with negative feedback just for being a dick. Let us know how fast he replies!

I bought a lower unit for a merc outboard once it took two months to get it and the propshaft was froze up the guy said it was good when he shipped it but he would not respond to any of my complaints until I left negative feedback then he cried. Paypal or ebay wont do anything I paid $100 for a big paperweight.
