Build Thread - 1-ton Chevy Swap

Right on, hopefully everything falls together and we can get out this summer!

Maybe I'll try to bring the big pig home from Josh's this weekend and see if I can't hide it in the garage. I really want to put up that second garage on my property, but just not sure I can justify it.

Whether it falls together or not, its going together! haha. This summer will be a good one for sure.

Second garage eh? A lil extra room is always nice.

Hell man did you ever really go out and beat on the Chevy a little bit before deciding to give it the boot? I've seen a few pics a few pics of you having it out but nothing with any real action.

I don't really bring a camera along anymore. Not real big on posting pics anymore...

i always want to take more pics but scince everyone in our group is always the one driving we never get any good pics

He isn't that old either.

In fact he's younger than I am. Didn't catch the sarcasm there huh?

More like I just don't feel the need to take pictures and impress people on the interwebs.

:thefinger:

Sure took a lot of pics of the build process for not wanting to impress anyone :thefinger: Besides, if it weren't for impressing anyone on teh interwebz, who else would there be to impress :icon_rofl:

That was what, 3 years ago? I'm bored now...

You want pics, here's a pic of my latest project. At least it does something other than just kill the grass...

Thats funny... I've been looking at little tractors myself. A Yanmar 155D with a front loader and tiller attachment to be exact. Don't know what I'd do with it but for some reason it's sparking my interest.

I just re-read this thread, and I must say, I had far more excess income and WAAAY more "free" time to waste then than I do now. :icon_surprised:

That being said, I'm still dedicated to finding a day in what's left of this short summer to chase the wasps out, repair the tail light wiring and put this back on the road. I don't have the time to be as hardcore as most people on this site, but at least the lot rot won't get it. :thefinger:

What will these new toys be?

I'm not sure. In the last month and a half, I've sold the JD 210 tractor (I picked up a nice JD 317), the gooseneck, and the Chevy. I am thinking about buying a new car hauler/utility trailer, but otherwise I think I'm set for now.

My wife and I have been discussing the idea of purchasing some land again, maybe something like 4-10 acres to sit on for a few years before we decide to build. I'd also like to replace her 2004 Impala before too long, we really like the Lexus RX350's...
