Bronco2 steering column question

So my B2 has a broken steering column and a way busted up key slot. Basically its all in pieces...

Its a 85 B2....

What other years of B2 will work with my 85? Could i use a differnt vehicles steering column?

Is it just the column, or is it the steering box too?
I believe the B2 columns threw 87 will bolt directly in, the 89-90 have a larger sleeve where they go threw the fire wall, but will fit fine if you enlarge the hole in the firewall. On the same note, the larger hole will allow the use of an Explorer column to 94 and maybe later.

I have to stay with the smaller sized steering column because i have a V8 and im talking tight clearances already next to my steering shaft.

But ill look into it. AJ
