if i got a 91-94 explorer could i just swap my lift tires lockers and what not right over from my 1990 bronco II...i want the 4.0 and i think this is easier than doing the swap and in addition i just want a truck thats in better shape.

The lift will swap, but make sure you don't have the drop plate. It will punch a hole in the D35 in the Ex. If the BII has stock axles, I wouldn't use them under Ex or this might happen if you wheel it.

bronco II to explorer?

dumb question but whats the drop plate? because i dont want that to happen to mine lol

and i would use the d35 and the 8.8 thats in the explorer...just swap my lockers lift tires and misc stuff

If you have a D28 and 7.5 in the BII, the lockers won't swap.

Look at the lift brackets on the front end and see if one is a large piece of plate. Or, do you know the brand of the lift?

do you have 8.8 and d35 now?? in the b2?

in theory, yes.. you can. the drop plate, is a plate that drops the axle bracket down, instead of a full bracket replacement

yea i have the d35 and the 8.8 with 5.13s...should i swap the gears in too?

if you want 5.13's yeah..

what brand lift do you have on the b2?

Sounds like you'll be fine, swap away.

to be honest i do not know what kind or even how big of a lift it is...im thinging it has to be at least a 5-6 inch to tuck 35's with some room right? i bought the bII for 260 and all i did was drop another 2.9 in it bc the other had cracked heads and what not

If you're already a D35 in the BII, just swap the axles and everything over.

here it is

how big of a lift do you think it has? and is it really worth doing the swap because im having second thoughts

where u located at man, that looks like a truck that was for sale in jersey a while back, kid that built it lived town over from me, its got about 5.5" of lift, 5.13's front and rear lockrights if im not mistaken, the rears will bolt right into the explorer, just have to move spring mounts on the rear and get a new center pin, just make sure the explorer yhou buy is a stick otherwise you will be disappointed

that body doesnt look to be in that bad of shape. I personally would swap the 4.0 and keep on driving on.
