Shackles in the rear, Washer coil spacers in the front. Around $60 for parts and half a day of work.

4.0 swap....

oh, seriously.. junkyard hunt my friend! buckets and center console or explorer dome light w/ 2 map lights on it, anything like that
if you can weld, have a scrap laying around-- sliders, steps, bumpers

throttle cable n zip tie mod
wash it!
body lift (i did my body lift for $30, used some freight liner aluminum gas tank spacer blocks(work part time at a semi shop)- all i bought was bolts)
headliner replacement (most need it since they are 20ish years old)
my paint was free-- again, work part time in a shop.
convert to manual hubs, again, junkyard hunt

there's a lot of things you can do cheaply if you look around, and wait it out.. i have $200 in a full parts donor rig (that might get built later in my life, its a 92 explorer that's gutted, but hey-- sas it, 5.0, so on)

yeah i think we need a write up on that flat toy. i'm sure its probably fairly straight forward

Duraspark!

Best thing i have done to mine. Gets rid of computer, feedback carb and all those underhood wires. Only have 6 wires running to engine, 3 to alt and 3 to dizzy. I used the TFI coil. :icon_thumby:

mechanical temp gauge and oil pressure gauge

Cowl induction. Just need some dryer vent hose and duct tape. There is an inspection plate where hose goes into firewall, just remove it and put hose in it.

The 84 brackets don't fit perfect but they hold the rad in place. I almost rolled my 84 last weekend and it hasn't moved at all. Oh ya, removable doors are cheap and awesome:D

People say that the 4L rad is not a drop in for the 84, I think you have to make brackets.

Yep. you need to make custom brackets. It's pretty easy though. I don't have a pic of the brackets I made, but here's a pic of the radiator in my 84.

Explorer springs will give a stock b2 a slight lift 1"-2" depending on how worn out the springs are.
