A little more than 2 years ago I bought a nice single owner 1990 BII with a lot of miles on it but it was meticulously maintained. Thought I would do a 'driveway resto', to see what could be done without a proper garage, etc. Got started on it and got hit with a very expensive sewer line replacement and then back surgery! Double whammy! Finally two years later I'm turning wrenches again. I had started a restro thread on another forum which has since shut down so I thought I would begin anew here. I've been shooting some video as I go along.

(Episode 0) The initial walk around, was done two years ago just to document the shape it was in and make a list of what needed done.
(Episode 1) The return, was mostly filmed two years ago and was intended to be a cheap job I could do while still reeling from the $$$ sewer line replacement. Little did I know at the time it would take 2 years to complete.
(Episode 2) Will likely be rear axle bearing and seal replacement as I have NOS parts on hand for this job (and there is a leak on right side).

The main goal at this time is to get the BII back on the road.

Glad to see you on TRS.
I don't have time to watch video. A few pics would be nice if you have time...
You have a great start!

What's wrong with the driveway that makes you want to restore it?

The workshop that should be surrounding it is missing. :)

Sounds like you need to find a "garage sale" :icon_twisted:

That sure is a sharp looking BII, I will have to check out your videos tonight. :icon_thumby:
