Bronco II 4" Lift wheel questions.

An 8" wide rim with 4" backspace would have 0 offset. Offset is the distance from the centerline of the rim to the mounting surface.

Ugg, I knew that. Sorry long day. Thanks for the help everybody. Anyone have any prefence on wheel and tire dealers? Im new to the 4x4 community. What should I be look at in a occasion light off-road tire, that is fairly quiet on the road?

I always buy used rims and tires off craigslist since I'm cheap. A good all terrain tire should be fine for you, BFGoodrich AT or Cooper ST or STT. Everyone is going to have their own opinion.

Im running 33x10.5x16 duratracs and they are really quiet, and have been great for all my off road purposes. Just get some 32s youll be able to run them.

for a 31.5x10 tire, get a 8" wheel...

I had wheels with 1.5" offset on my 84 with 32x10.50 tires and it made it drive terrible, it wandered pretty bad. I put 33" bias ply super swampers on it with 0 offset and it drove much better. just keep in mind when you add offset, it puts more leverage on the front suspension components

Was that 0 offset on 15x8s?

Not sure if you bought wheels yet, but a 15x8 rim with 0 offset is not 4" back spacing. A 15x8 rim actually measures 9" wide, and zero offset would be 4.5" as you originally thought. Which also means that the rim front spacing would also be 4.5" from the mounting face or brake drum mounting surface. Then add tire bulge to that.
