On my ranger 2wd, the passenger front spring mount is rotted/broken. Is this part of the whole front cross member riveted to the frame, or is it separate from the engine cross member? thanks is advance.

ok, so i figured out the correct name is a coil bucket. anyone no if i can still get one of these? anyone have one?

i just went through the same thing. i actually just picked my truck up today. you can go to the junk yard or the ford dealership for the part.

Thanks, i decided to call the dealer and i was surprised they had it....

The passenger side coil bucket is a known failure point of any ranger. Dealerships will always stock the pass. side coil bucket for this reason. Grind off the old coil bucket and mount the new one with appropriate hardware.

i never knew that the passenger side was a problem. The guy at the dealer "said" there was about 150 of them left in the system. The driver side is unavailable/obsolete. It was a easy job with my new torches:beer:
