Yeah, I would buy a new one. I would also replace both of them if you're taking the trouble to do it. And take a good look at the shackle hangers, too. Both of mine were rusted up bad, the shackles broke, too. The rivets aren't bad, just grind them down and knock'em out with a hammer. I replace mine with 7/16" grade 8 bolts and haven't had a problem.

I would go to the Ford dealership, too. Mine were like $27 each.

Since I can't drive anywhere the ford dealership isn't an option. I'm just going to order them through LMC Truck. Its going to come out to about $36 shipped. I won't replace the other one until it breaks as well, I can't afford to replace it at the moment.

Good luck getting the bolt out of the leaf spring! mine took about 20 minutes, two bloody knuckles, three beers, and a lot of unmentionable comments to get out.

If you can, I would soak everything with PB a few days beforehand. I.e., bed bolts and clips, and the leaf spring bolt.

yea my bed bolts were a b!+ch to get out, but when i first took them off for the body lift, i got new ones, so they werent as bad to get out this time

I think I've seen some on eBay, that's always a good spot to check.

Just drove it over to the neighbors because he's got an impact wrench. :icon_thumby:
