At the beginning of my stock intake, before the air filter, there's a small rubber hose that runs out of the pipe, and down through the engine bay towards the bottom (looks like it originally ran down near the front differential/transfer case somewhere). Currently it's not connected to anything.
Is this a breather line for something (for the front diff, maybe?) Can anyone tell me where this gets hooked up?

EDIT. thinking of wrong thing

No hoses on a 94 go from the engine to a diff, If its the one i'm thinking it is it goes to the fuel tank purg canister ( I think thats what it's called ) that bolts to the radiator support between the battery and the radiator. There should be 1 hose going to the throttle body and 1 or 2 larger hoses that follow the frame back.

The EEC line isn't before the air filter. It's connected to the throttle body. The only thing before the filter is the blend door. It's vacuum and air-temperature activated.
