For all those who have directional winter tire and has them on spare rim, remember to double check your putting them on the right way.
That way you don't spend 2 weeks chasing a vibration.

Getting older, tend to fart more, brain & otherwise; I tell the wife, don't worry, it's only gonna get worse!
I do avoid Directional treaded tires for the reasons you've noted;
may not be fashionable, but NonDirectional MildlyAggressive AllTerrains have worked well for me
in all weather, on+off pavement, on both vehic;les for 15+ years.
