Why do the coil springs bow when you put a early bronco SA under our trucks?

Picture:

Because whoever put it in decided that it wasn't necessary to move the upper coil buckets out. It also looks like the lower coil mounts are tilted towards the wheels.

That's about the worst I've seen. Not all of them are like that.

i have just a little in the pass side

Bowed Coild Springs

what kind of coils are you using? and i agree the loxer coil mounts look like they are leaning inward, forcing the coil to bow

my passenger coil is bowed more so than my drivers. I did notice that the lower mount is kind of tilted. I dont know if its just a chunk of rust that is making it unlevel. I figure that out later, i just want to get everything done for now.

i did find with my coil buckets on the frame, using EB coils i had to modifiy how they sat against it to help keep them from bowing

Well that isn't my truck. I got the picture from CLICK HERE!

I'm just thinking about going this route for my SAS, I was just wondering why the coils do that...
