bought an ecoboost today...

How did you get 10K off sticker?

I work for Ford, get employee pricing, and even at the end of the year I can't get 10K off.

these trucks are going to kill ford.

they need a kick in the nuts.....the raptor issues are sad.

I will say the 3.7 actually runs very well, I drove a 2011 with one in it the other day. Never in my life expected to stick the needle to the end of a 7K tach in a factory fullsize pick up.

Matt

september of 09' my mom bought a brand new fullyloaded g6 for $12,800 off the lot. gotta love c4c, we had a 91 astro van. burnt a quart of oil every 10 miles. paid $20 for it and got 4500 at c4c

yeah, but a lot of rangers and b2's got crushed b/c of c4c... but we wont talk about that lol

so do we not have pics yet??

A real v8? Shit, the ecoboost has 365hp, thats more than any v8 thats been in the f-150 in the past 14 years. If its got more power than the 4.6 and 5.4, I'll take it anyday. The 6.2 is just icing on the cake.

14 years? I would venture to say forever. Nothing overly fantastic about the numbers the 5.8 and 5.0 were putting out 15 years ago, the mods made both of them look kinda stupid.

The 6.2 is all right, but is only available in a Lariet. For the milage and price, it is cheaper to get in a Superduty (which is really sad)

yeah.....ever. the first ford gasoline powered truck to have over 400 pounds of torque was a friggen racecar truck...the 2nd gen lightning.

good point, I was having a brain fart, my dads truck is a '97 with the 4.6 and its pretty anemic at 235hp.

My brother's '97 4wd std cab longbox is pretty spunky, with 3.55 gears and stock 255/75-16 tires it scooted right along. With the 265/70-17's it has now it still isn't too bad. (better than my 5.4 with 3.31's with similar sized tires) He has 4.10's to put in it, hard telling when that is going to happen though...

Found a dealer who was ready to deal. There was 4500 off for a rebate, another 1K for financing through ford, another 1K for I can't remember, then the stealership sent a coupon for another 750 off- then I used the X plan through the company I work for and got another 1200 or something, can't remember. The rest was dealer discounting the vehicle. I signed the "i'm gonna buy this bitch" contract, they put it in the computer, and the x plan kicked one of the 1K rebates off- so they tried to jack me out of that 1K and raised the price. I walked out and they sold it "at a loss" if you want to believe that crap. I heard on the radio yesterday they were discounting f-150's 10K off at a different dealer in san antonio, so its possible everywhere now I suppose. Pics still forthcoming.

That just tells you how bad the dealerships are hurting because not many people are buying new vehicles much less trucks

meh, i guess it just never impressed me. his is 4wd, extended cab, stepside. Stock tires were 235s, which looked tiny, its had 265/75 ever since those wore out, with 3.55 gears.

Well from what I hear Ford is really pushing the dealers to move vehicles.

They bumped our quota 20 cars this past month just outta the blue.

And I hate to say it, but new car sales is not what keeps the doors open at any dealership. It's used cars (trade-ins or auction cars) and service work.

My dealership has averaged 120 ish cars every month since they re-opened 2.5 years ago.

Less than half are new in an average month. Most are used cars that are traded in or bought at auction. Our service department is what keeps the doors open.
