i filled in a couple little dents on my truck with bondo. I sanded them as smooth as they can possibly get but for some reason after i spray primer over the bondo area you can see where i applied the filler. I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of this or if once i paint the truck you will not see the repaired area .

The "bondo" will absorb the paint leaving a dull appearance. I prefer better brands of filler over "B", they do not have pinholes, easy to sand, more durable, easier to spread and more. Best bet at this point is to get some glazing putty, Bondo brand is actually a decent brand. Glazing putty is spread over the filler to fill micro scratches and pinholes. Sand smooth to 320 then primer that. You will still notice a difference from filler to metal/paint, but that will not be visible in the final coat IF, and I mean a big IF, the surfaces are perfectly prepped.
Any and all defects will show through like a spot light at midnight if not prepped properly. 90% of the work is in the prep.

Good Luck

haz is right its all about prep and i will never touch bondo it is c@rp, u need a good plastic filler, and i sand down to 400 grit then lay a 2k high build primer down (about 3 to 4 coats) take some black spray paint and put a fog coat on it and use a X pattern with a block sander and remove the back spary paint fog coat till its all gone, finish with a 600 grit and u need to feather the edges out so u cant fill the old paint to the new primer
