I have a two door shortbed 1977 ford f150 on 35s and the body is rusted out. Was thinkin about swaping bodys and putting a exted Cab Ford ranger and shortbed on my frame would tht be a hard swap or does the body mount line up? Could I keep my 400m and 4 speed transmission and T-Case.

It can be done... but you're going to have to change the body mounts and probably do some sort of body lift. There is no way the body will swap without moving body mounts around on the frame to get things to line up and you'll probably have to do something about the radiator among other things.

im thinkin about just puttin a cab with less rust on it. bc im gettin ready to swap a 12 valve cummins n.

That would be the easy way to do it...

One of the local guys has a Ranger body that he put on a fullsize Bronco frame. It has a 460 and a C6. Looked pretty good but it required a ton of fab work.
