I am replacing my body mounts with a Energy supention kit. I have one queston, the factory retainer washers for the front 2(position 1) are completly rusted out.Are new ones requiered for installing the new mount bushings?LMC has them on page 39 for $20.00 a peice.Or can I just install the bushings without them?

ACTUALLY he was talking about a body mount and a replacement bushing(energy suspension:icon_thumby:).

To the OP: that sleeve with washers that runs through the very front bushing on each side: i cut it out on mine to put my bodylift on. put it back together without it becuase i destroyed it. no negative effects in 4 or so years :icon_cheers:

Ohhhhh......Im a little slow sometimes haha

Its all good man! We all have those moments:icon_twisted:

Thanks for the info, now since I wont use the stock retainer washer, will I need to make up thickness difference with standard washers? I think they were1/8 in. thick? There is nothing left of the old washer to measure. The two shims I think I can reuse ?

Yeah I just used a big washer on each side under the bushing if i remember correctly.

Just tighten them down as tight as you can get them. No need to torque those.

I bought a big bag of 1/2 inch fender washers from fastenal when I replaced all of my bushings. Used one on top and as many as necessary on the bottom. I think if you buy a lift kit the bolts are 7/16 but I used 1/2" grade 8. I think my duff bushings said to torque the bolts to 50 ft lbs, but I didn't, I just used lock washers and turned them a few times after the locks crushed.
