Well since I can't afford to do a suspension lift, I was going to do a body lift to make my little truck look a little.. bigger.. but I was wondering how this would effect my mpg? Metaphorically speaking I would be making a brick bigger. '

My plan would be a 2-3 inch lift, using pipe welded with washers.

only took like 2 mpg from me, if that..though i only drive around a few trails

ive gone from 235s STOCK with 3.27s an now iam running 31s 5inch lift, 3.73s an i get the same mileage.. since then ive added a lotta extra weight/ custom front/rear bumpers

I never noticed a change in my fuel mileage when I did my bodylift.( 3 inch) And I do alot of highway driving.

I did a 3in body lift and I put on 33's and I get the same millage, the only thing that is different is the speedo so when you calculate mpg you need to take in account for the miles being off. For me I went from 30's to 33's so my speedo is off by about 10%, so if my speedo says I got 250 miles on a tank I actually got 275 miles

mine didnt change at all after a 2" i'd say your fine...
