Blown 2.3

You were bouncing off of the rev limiter. That happens at about 6250RPM. I've been there, done that....
...A guy I use to work with tried to blow on of these motors up. It was still in the truck and they put a brick on the pedal and ran the fuel tank out. It sat at max RPM for alomost half a tank, never gave out.

Sweet, thats good to kno, wouldn't wanna hurt the motor with all the work ive done to the suspension and drivetrain... As for the attempted motor blow out, thats friggin amazing! lol i can imagine the truck jus revvin to high hell for like an hour :D

Huh, Lately I have been running mine up to around 5800rpm. I have a chip on it, which raises fuel cutoff a bit, but really these 2.3's fall flat around 5600-5800 then your just pissing in the wind. Ive run mine up around 6300 maybe a tad higher even though she didnt wanna.

haha blown motors are no good! ill try to post a pic of my old 2.3 that had fourty pounds of boost thrown at it!!! talk about a blown motor there was two holes in the block big enough to put your fist into!! haha well it was good that happened cuz now i have a fully built motor that can handle thirty pounds and not break a sweat!
