Blower motor resistor

was changing my blower motor resistor, when i noticed the plug head has been cut off by the previous owner, and it was not even plugged in, I can't find a wiring diagram with the same color wires, and tried calling ford but no luck, anybody able too take a look at theirs for me and let me know where each color wire gets connected on the resistor.

Any ideas of why the previous owner would have unplugged it? Now I'm worried about possible fire lol.

They do catch on fire occasionally. When the resistors are working, they get red hot. That is why they are mounted in the fan airflow. If you live somewhere near where you get leaves and little helicopters from a maple tree, they can get down into the HVAC system through the grille around the wipers, and then they dry out and fly around and get caught in the resistor and catch fire.

Mice also like to build homes in the heater/blower area and their nesting can catch fire too. Can’t forget to mention those little bastages…

One thing to note is those wires in your picture have heat shrink self soldering pieces in them in that bulge, it looks like they weren't heated enough to get the solder to melt so it wouldn't hurt to hit them with a heat gun...

Like they said, it's not unheard of for the connector to burn either, it's a thing and why there's pigtails out there...
