after my 89 b2 has been shut off for about a day ill turn it back on and no air comes out. when i get under the hood, i wigglle the wires to the blower motor and it will turn back on. any ideas?:icon_confused:

Blower motor resistor has gone/is going bad. Fan should come on in HI position though, right? That's straight 12V to the blower motor.

I'm thinking he has a bad wire. The clues here are that it only happens after it sits for a day and that it works after wiggling the wires.

If it always works in High, go for the resistor first, if it won't work on any speed until you play with the wires, check your wiring before doing anything.

Or the wiring has melted as they are known to do.

I got rid of the resistors in my Ranger and went with a PWM module when I did the EATC conversion. :D

But according to what you have stated, sounds like a bad connection. Possibly corrosion on the wire's terminal plugs, or just loose.

Mine did this, caused by a bad resistor/connection. Had to replace both the resistor, and the pigtail and plug. Totally gone, melted, corroded.

That's why I pointed him in that direction. Just didn't expand on it, I was half-asleep and couldn't see to type, let alone form a complete explanation.
