blinker bulbs?

i have a 96 ford ranger and for the yellow blinker lights does anyone know what size the

bulbs are i think there 194's but im not sure and is there nore than one?

i also wanted to replace them with just led light bulbs would that work?

Aren't the signal bulbs bigger than 194's? On my 91 they are 3157's. 194's are license plate light size.
 
someone told me they were 194s so i wanted to get that clarified before i bought them ill check them tommorow
 
194 are the ones that go in behind the dash for the blinker there. I believe the 3157 is the correct bulb for the corner turns up front. They will be a dual element for parking lights and turn signal. The mount should a blade style mount.
 
yeah they are idk why my friend said they were 194s i had some extra blue leds from my instrument cluster so i though i would see if i could use those for my blinkers outside thanks
 
Blue bulbs are illegal. Turn signals can only be amber on the front, and either amber or red on the back. A guy I work with has gotten pulled over at least 3 times for having blue turn signals, and he still hasn't swapped them out. :dntknw:

Any auto parts store worth more then a pinch of racoon shit, should have a cross reference book
