Bleach in Gas Tank

it's a GM?
in that case, remove the valve core from the fuel rail, hook a drain hose to it, put that hose into a bucket, then replace the fuel pump relay with a paperclip across the two posts that power the pump, and turn the key for the car on, that'll run the pump till the tank goes dry, and get all the bleach out.

still, she must have been pretty low on gas for them to be able to get enough bleach into the tank to dilute the gas enough to keep it from running.

This is pretty much exactly what i was looking for. Now, do you have any idea where I'd find the fuel pump relay and how I'd tell which posts I need to connect in order to pull this off? I googled the shit out of it but cant seem to find it...

see, that part i couldn't tell you, in any case, you CAN just flip the key on, let it run till it shuts off, flip the key off, then flip it back on, over and over forever.

actually, to find the relay, have somebody click the key on while you're listening to the under hood power distribution box, it'll click the relay that runs the fuel pump, and the relay itself will show you which posts run the pump, and which posts trigger the relay.

you want to jumper the posts that the relay operates, not the posts that trigger the relay.

A little trick take a screwdriver and touch the top of the relay put the other end to your ear. The sound of the relay clicking will transfer up the screwdriver. What effect would does anybody think the bleach will have on the fuel pump?

I would guess we are all waiting to find seeing how I have never heard of it before.:dunno:
