Awesome, my son wants to do a night time ghost hunt at Animas Forks. Meh, to each their own, right, LOL.

did something tragic happen at Animas Forks or was it just abandoned from closing a mine or something? The night time ghost hunt would be awesome if it was the site of some mine explosion or if the town was wiped out by disease, or they got snowed in and fell to cannibalism...but it doesn't seem quite as exciting if it was just abandoned for profitability reasons.
