Will a radiator from a 4.0l help keep a 2.9 cooler?

In theory I would assume so. More surface area equals more air over the cooling fins.

It depends on which one you get... IIRC there is one radiator that is the same size as one of the 2.9 radiators, one that is thicker, and one that is thicker and dual core.... You want to look for one from a vehicle with a 4.0, automatic transmission, and A/C... That SHOULD be the real good one... Someone else who knows for sure can chime in...

Yes.. i have done this i used to one out of my junk 94 with a 4.0l with auto. and a/c and it bolted right in no changes and cools it amazingly
