better than stock ignition system??

Hello, I have a 1995 4x4 4.0 ranger with a 5-speed. I was wondering if there is any certain brand name or type of performance coil pack and plug wires that give a better spark than the factory ones?? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The stock EDIS is really effecient and actually one thing Ford did right on the Ranger.

So, anything that you'd buy aftermarket would most likely give you identical performace.

My thoughts would be, save the $$$ for a good tune-up.

Just about the only thing you can do is use the right stuff. A good quality set of plug wires and the proper OEM iridium plugs (Motorcraft or Autolite).
