nope i didnt use the passenger side boxing piece. seemed like a pain to install and it doesnt take much looking to realize these frames are seriously overbuilt as it is, no worries.

and i put 3 1"x3/16" pieces of strapping across the middle where i cut it, and then i used some more of the strapping inside the c-channel to bridge the gaps that i made cutting the old welds out.

longer u bolts so i can run my factory blocks in the rear and stx hi-rider brake lines. u bolts were $5 a piece brake lines $7 I <3 rockauto :headbang:

quick question- on the tie rod adjusting sleeves, how are the clamps supposed to be clocked in relation to the slot in the tube?

okay now here's a really tricky question for you guys. it's probably too specific unless you were like one of the guys at ford who designed the ranger haha. but anyways, back when i did my 302 i changed a little bit of the wiring of course, and i have since returned all of it to stock except for this one piece. it's for the fuel pump, and its the only wire i didnt note what i did to it on my diagram. (it's the one with the big fat fusible link in the picture). i cant find ANY other place it might possibly go to in that region :dunno: no traces of other cut wires, disturbed insulation, NOTHING. anyone else have this fusible link? it's got a black/yellow wire in it. any clue what/where it goes to?

did you weld pieces of the straping on the inside of the crossmember to the frame aswell , and thanks for the replys
 
yes, they bridge the gap between the frame and k member. my k member is welded in all the places ford welded it in originally.
 
I am pretty jealous! That really came together nicely! Not going to know what to do once you pull that transfer case into 4x4, and it goes! Four wheel drive is like the ultimate kick in the ass.
 
thanks man. and yeah tell me about it! that stock little 4wd red truck on tiny 235's out-wheeled my 2wd on 31's like there was no tomorrow!
 
got some good work done. got the motor in two days ago and got it running. had a bit of an issue with fuel pump wiring that i screwed up from the 302 swap, but i figured it out. i was sick yesterday so i didnt get much done, but im better today and im slowly but surely getting the final odds and ends done. hopefully the truck will be driving in a few days :D

oh, any tips or tricks on getting the damn clutch to bleed? i know it needs to be gravity bled but ive done it a million times and still nothing! D:<
