Best looking ranger

Hey guys, what do you think is the best looking ranger, what years do you like the best, myself, i like the 1st gen rangers the best, love that body style

My favorite body style was the 4th generation? (1998-2000) 4x4 flaire side extended cab rangers. I also like the explorer rims which came stock on them.

I would also go for 1st gen. and a close 2nd is 3rd gens. but they have to be extended cab 4x4's.

For a 4x4, a reg cab short bed first gen. With the fenders cut. For a street truck deffinatly the 5th gen? The 01-03? with the honey comb grill.

a first gen is a must for a 4x4 something about the boxy style an big ole tires makes it look like a TRUCK!!! but gen3s are sweet as well.. i know i have one haha... in both a 4x4 an 2wd street truck..

i like the gen 1. they just look cool no matter what you do to them. Ok i lied that BII/ex/Ranger thing with barney as the head liner. That was disgusting and a crime, but besides that gen 1 rock.

I like them all, but my favorite is the first generation.

Quite simply, a truck should look like a truck.

I agree. I grew up in a time when trucks were big and angular. The 1st and 2nd Gen were the best in my opinion, they very much looked like a stereotypical Ford truck. As far as the newer ones, the Splash or Edge with the flaresides is cool. They don't make a Ranger bodystyle I don't like. Still, I hope square shapes come back in style for a while. Too many cars look like pudgy little fatsos.

Same here. If I had it to do all over again, I'd definitely be looking for a 1st or 2nd gen Ranger. The trucks from that period look 10 times better than any they make today.

Perhaps Ford shouldn't be so quick to discontinue the ranger after 2008. Instead, they should just bring back the first generation ranger all over again.

I would be in line for one, they are my favorite as well. Heck it would be neat just to see what one was like new, I was less than one year old when my truck came off the line.

The late 90's to early 00's with the honeycomb grille look really sharp too, I was looking into getting one until I realized I really couldn't do any more with that than with my old Ranger.

Really I can't say they made a bad looking one, just those are my favorites.
