BEST exhaust??

Alright i wanna get a new exhaust system in the spring. whats everybody got? size of pipe, what type of muffler, duals? what will work best for my 2.9? i wanna a nice low tone but not super loud and i dont want it to sound like a tuner car.

There really is no BEST exhaust. Its mostly a matter of opinion on what sounds best. With a 2.9 Im not real sure on what will sound good. I know on mine I have a super 44 with single in dual out and 2.25" tubing and love it.

Yup...I agree with this.

Frankly, I'm happy with mine. It's just a strait through style Magnaflow SS Muffler. I chopped off the old one and welded this in with the stock diameter piping. Works great and Sounds great...Not too boomy or raspy at all.

My 3.0 running magnaflow's cat back sounds great. IIRC its 2.5 I/O on one of their larger oval mufflers. if you want a sleeper, that is probably the way to go, I.E. it doesn't really make a ton of noise at idle, but when you open that puppy up its sounds awesome.

MY 2.9 has true duals, flomasters no cats, not sure what kind of flowmasters as I bought it this way. 2 1/2 I think.

It sounds amazing for a little 2.9. It has the perfect rumble while driving.
