Best Bang for your Buck mod for 3.0

145hp, 178ft-lbs.

aftermarket intakes and exhaust systems dont do anything for MOST motors. people suffer from whats known as the placebo effect. sugarpills. they think because they changed something, there MUST be an improvement.

if it was as easy as changing the diameter or design of the intake or exhaust system, the manufacturers would have done it from the factory. remember that horsepower numbers sell.

your engine uses the same filter element as the OHV 4.0, which makes 10% more horsepower than your engine. its also the same surface area as the element used by the supercharged 3.8, which makes about 40% more power.

i wish i could provide dyno sheets, but i dont know of anyone thats wasted their time and money to do the dyno runs. the math doesnt add up, thats proof enough for me.

I have to disagree slightly with Wicked_Sludge about the E-fan. I agree that the E-fan does not create hp, it does free it up the be utilized at the rear wheels. If you install an underdrive pulley and don't compensate the decrease in water flow with a larger water pump pulley. An E-fan installed properly with a proper shroud you can, can increase the air flow through the radiator. In my experience, the ass dyno will tell the difference. I've converted all 4 of my vehicles to E-fans and improved cooling with underdrive pulleys. Other experience rodders and old timers like me will tell you the same. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
