Best 235 mud/snow tires

In my opinion BFG All Terrain's are the best all around tire. Over the past 10 years I've had them on a jeep, 89 Suburban and my current 99 Suburban. I have ordered 30X10's for my Ranger. Quiet ride, great on wet pavement, great off road on most surfaces (sand, dirt, light mud etc). I drive off road several times a week and have not had any problems with these tires.

I have loved the bfg at's I have had but I have pathfinder ats for now they seem ok but I haven't tried mudding with them, but for snow the best tire I ever had was general grabber st's

I'm running firestone destination AT's on the b23 and they do very well in the ice/snow. I just take it easy and don't get in a big hurry to do anything like braking, turning and accelerating. Dunlop Radial Rover RTs also look like they woul do well in the ice/snow.

If you're looking for 235s at a price you can't beat, Wal Mart has them in a plain old Goodyear Wrangler for $55-$65 a piece. Have them on my mom's S10 blazer and I was really surprised how well they go. Only thing I heard bad about them is they don't last super long, but she doesn't drive very far.

I would say Cooper Discoverer ATR or Yokohama Geolander AT/S. Similar tread patterns but both are very good. Oh and for the Goodyear Wranglers mentioned above I would stay away. I am not sure exactly what model he is talking about but if it is just the plain radial I see a lot of them come back with blow outs (I work in the returns dept. at a tire warehouse). The Wrangler Radials and the Wrangler RT/S is garbage. I would spend the extra money and get the good stuff they first time around.
