Any Mercedes techs out there?

My friend has a 1987 560 SEL with around 230,000 miles on it. Sat for a year or two unneeded and then when started smoked like crazy (oil smoke from tail pipe).
"Compression and leak-down excellent".
He replaced all valve guide seals, some rocker arms and shafts, runs good but still smokes and fouls some spark plugs.

Any ideas?

Rings

Oil scraper rings stuck on the pistons that are fouling plugs?
Will WD/40 in the cylinders help?
Something like Bardahl in the oil help?
He's giving the car away to a friend of the family out of state and obviously doesn't want to put any more money into it.

I think you should have called a mechanic even before because Mercedes parts are a bit hard to troubleshoot.

Hey I have an idea. How about we don't revive 2 year old threads where the OP probably solved the problem or got rid of the car over a year and a half ago?
