Beginners Guide ----- >

Just did a brake job on a 4wd explorer, if I'd known I would of taken pics. It was my first time to do brakes on a 4wd. I had a haynes manual, but it wasn't very extensive.

A section for preventative maint could be handy. Alot of people buy a vehicle pull the codes and start changing components before doing the PM. Giving the engine and the gearboxes a good once over plugs, wires, pcv, cap, rotor, fluids, filters and vacuum lines as a starting point.

Jim I can do a write up on how to replace the hubs, im gonna be doing mine in a few days

Shoot, I just had to replace the rear bearing and upper control arm on my explorer. As well as a full brake job on all 4 wheels.

I still have to replace the front hub/bearing as well as swap an axle shaft. I'll take pics and document the whole thing when I do that.
