So when i bought my truck a year ago it cam with a bed liner in it, something like a Hurculiner or something of the sort, not a linex, due to no badges. A couple of months later i put a canopy on the truck, which is now causing the the weather stripping on the canopy window to rub on the tailgate, causing the weather stripping to rub the paint off.

Now on to the question, how would i go about removing the bed liner from the interior of the tailgate so that i can reapply a bed liner with out a seam so that the weather stripping wont touch any paint?

Make sense?:dunno:

Media bead blasting or some real hand movements with sand paper. Just rub it down with sand paper and put a new coating on it. I don't know anybody who had issues with a bed liner rubbing off!!!! Somebody did a lousy job of coating or it is not real bed liner.......

Sounds like a bad prep-job before applying the stuff. I've got 2 coats of Herculiner in the entire inside of my CJ-7, and it's pretty much bulletproof. If you get the stuff off, and re-apply, make sure to prep the surface properly to give the new application something to "grab on to".
