Im gonna do this inside my b2, under the dash; low in the back floorboards; and in the rear cargo area. For the added light..

its crazy, but it makes a world of difference when you can see EVERYTHING in the middle of nowhere at 4 am. lol

i do mechanic work out of my truck A LOT... and when its dark out by 5 p.m. here, not being able to see tools SUCKS!

where did you put the on/off switch? In the cab or the bed? Assuming the cab since it doesn't look like you have a toneau cover. In concept, seems basically like adding fog lights in the bed. It's on my to do list this spring.

.

do you have any pics of it at night?

Those look like them led driving lights that they sell at Wally World and what not. I was thinking about buying them to use for DRLs on my truck.

you can clearly see my tonneau.

i included a picture of the switch. its mounted in my bed liner. i decided to tie it into my running tail light. since i have a dual filament brake and turning bulb. so that way i have a constant when my lights are on, and when i turn the truck off i cant leave them on.
basically all wiring is in the bed/taillight, nothing to the battery or cab.

yes ill go take one right now, ill have it up in about 10 minutes. its like night and day.

Good idea, though I have to say I would have just hard wired them... you could leave those lights on all night and still be able to start your truck in the morning.

tonight i was loading tools and building materials into my dads f-150, well it was dark and i couldn't see a dang thing, but i had this idea. i found one of these clamp on lights like this -> http://images.drillspot.com/pimages/2126/212659_300.jpg and hooked it up to a 200watt power inverter and well, it worked great, that light is staying in the truck for when stuff like this happens :)

i just saved 8$

Nicely done great mod. Do you have any details on the lights like a part # I can't find them on the PA site and would like to pick them up.

nice!, but you have to run plugs and wires every time. all i do is hit a switch. :D

That's the best and worse part of princess auto... lots of random stuff. I'll keep an eye out
