ball joint tool

I have went the cheap route, and wont do it again. Not even a year later I found my self back at the parts store getting the Moogs. And that was just on a daily driver.

thats what i was lookin for! haha as it turns out the truck getting the ball joints is also getting another engine and such so i wont cheep out on it.

any other brands besides moog that you guys recommend ?

Carquest is Moog re-box

well i got the knuckles off today and used my 11" clamp with a big socket with little to no sucess ahha.... ill have to try it again tomorrow.

nah i gave up for now.... with the winter weather its just too cold to mess with that stuff....

i used a giant socket on one side and the clamp on the other side of the ball joint (side that fits into the axle beam) and didnt have any sucess, maybe if i use another socket to steady the movement of the ball joint ...? idk...

i beat out my lowers with the pointed side of a 3 lb sledge

then I used a piece of pipe and a floor jack to press them back in

im in the middle of this too, i tried a clamp with socket to press out with no luck, ended up beating it out with a hammer guess a hammer jolt works better than c clamp pressure, gonna put them in tomorrow, i noticed my camber bushings are froze up any suggestions and do i need to free these up for the alignment guy or can it be done as easily with everything in place?

i used a air chisel to tap them out .... this would work to free them up as well... a bit with a V worked for me.
