Ball joint grease fitting?

Hello Everyone!

I just had new ball joints installed in my Ranger. Upper and lower joints. They do not have any grease fittings. Can I drill and tap them for grease fittings?

Have any of you done this?

i wouldn't recommend it, just wait till they need to be replaced again and make sure to get ones with grease fittings

Don't bother doing that. Next time get the Moog Problem Solvers. I usually end up doing all 4 on my Ranger every 3 or 4 years. The ones I used to buy didn't have zerks and they would be cooked after about 2 years.

I see the problem solvers on rockauto. what exactly are they?

They are top quality ball joints and chassis parts.

Ok I got it..........as in grease them regularly "problem solved"........

That's the big thing. Front end stuff lasts much longer with fresh grease.
