Ball joint grease fitting?

Hello Everyone!

I just had new ball joints installed in my Ranger. Upper and lower joints. They do not have any grease fittings. Can I drill and tap them for grease fittings?

Have any of you done this?

Don't bother doing that. Next time get the Moog Problem Solvers. I usually end up doing all 4 on my Ranger every 3 or 4 years. The ones I used to buy didn't have zerks and they would be cooked after about 2 years.

I see the problem solvers on rockauto. what exactly are they?
 
That's the big thing. Front end stuff lasts much longer with fresh grease.
