Roughly measured I have about 7 inches from the axle pad to the leaf spring. does that mean I can fit a wheel with a maximum of 7 inch backspace. its about 10 inches from the leaf spring to the fender wall, and I want to fill it up as much as possible. will have a small drop, about 3 inches. so should I be looking for a 3 inch front space and a 7 inch backspace? are there any other factors to consider? Thanks, A

That depends on whether you are planning to take it off road or over bumps in the road. In an off camber situation (one wheel in a rut, gutter or over a curb), the wheels lean into or away from the frame (depending on where the drop is).

Technically, the answer is yes, realistically, not so much space should be used for the wheel.

It's for street purposes. Wouldn't be doing anything to tweak the axle that much. That did help tho. Thanks
