Back gate cracked

Is there a way to fix the cracked gate that was due to the spare tire carrier. Can it be reinforced to stop it getting worse?

Yes it can. I just got a piece of plate steel and drilled some holes.

its just fiberglass you can find fiberglass DIY videos on youtube its really fairly simply and doesnt cost a whole lot youll just need paint or just prime it

Someday I must get new picks of how I reinforced/repaired mine from the inside. Being a devoted fan of Chip Foose I could not abide the extrior way I have seen done and wanted it inside and unseen. Perhaps on Monday I can take the interior cover off my 87 and take picks. I'd do it tomorrow but that day belongs to the Lord. Good luck on your repair and yeah there are lots of videos for repairing fiberglass but not many on how to reinforce thate area.
