axle ratio/tire size

Hey all... I did an axle swap this week on my Ranger..I have a stock 97 2wd 2.3 5sp 7.5/3.73 ratio open diff....swapped in an 8.8 LS 3.73. My big question is,will my speedo still show the correct mph? I am using 205/75/14" in place of the stock 225/70/14'', which are within 1/2" in diameter to the stock tires that were on it. The donor truck was a 93 4.0 4x4 auto transmission supercab. I looked all over the internet,but just got more confused with all the answers ...lol... Thanks oops forgot to say the donor truck had 235/75/15 stock size tires...

You should be within reason. 3.73 to 3.73 so gear ratio is the same, it's just diameter of tires that will change the speedo. Up at the top of the page is a button labeled "info-technical". In that is this calculator that will tell you how much your speedo will be off;
