I posted an adventure thread over on the Tailgate section. Obviously, I should have started it here. Great photos! Keep them coming!!!

PaleBlue90: I love Rollins Pass in CO! I have spent a lot of time up in that area in a Bronco II. Needle's Eye Tunnel and all those tressels hanging off in space.... Beautiful place with lots of history. Too bad you can't drive through the tunnel anymore!

NATER!!!! Germany is awesome. Always wanted to visit!!!

Were you running around 1500-2000 ft. up in there? Looks like you were about a 1000+ coming down and out before heading East towards Talkeetna. Lots of traffic from there in summer heading South along the Parks/Su route but way more after Big Lake transition. Not like the EAFB Raptor's and what nots to worry about. Its a fine route for sure.:icon_thumby:

I do have skis but they are straight skis. No wheels. It would have to be a winter or early spring trip if we were to do it that way. I'm a little gun shy abotu landing in the snow at the moment! :D Yea, 1500'-2000' AGL on the way up and I think it was 7000'-8000' MSL with rapidly rising terrain when I turned around.

I love the Peter's Hills area. I have flown it several times and it is an excellent wheeling destination in the summer. Beautiful out there.

Once, I went from Crested Butte to Aspen in my Izzuzu Trooper. Scariest ride I've ever been on. Driving over wooden bridges with half the planks missing. Trucks (rusted) dumped over the side. When we got to Aspen, people were like "you came from WHERE?" that pass has been closed for 2 years.

You guys are so lucky to have actual mountains around...Here in NS we settle with like 400ft hills...This is the nicest view we have around the town I'm from..

alot of people here dont relize how lucky we are:sad:

I've been to Kansas. You have my sympathy sir. On a trip from Nebraska (Offutt AFB) to Abilene, Texas (Dyess AFB), we saw 5 tornados on the ground at one time while coming across Kansas. I've seen baseball sized hail there as well. Had an uncle that lived in Lawrence and worked at the Hercules plant. We visited there quite a bit. Great guy. Horrible place. Always dreaded that trip.

I freaking LOVE CO. If I ever leave Alaska, that will likely be my destination. Unfortunately, all my CO pics are on film. I have spent much time there rock climbing and wheeling. Mostly the Boulder/Estes Park area but forays all over the state. I'd really like to explore the Silverton/Durango/Ouray area better.

I miss climbing sometimes....
