Pretty cool.

Good clarity in the film...my Dad would have liked watching that one...!

That was really neat, nice that the two could connect with that film. Can't imagine what some of them pilots went thru and made it back

My Grandfather was a P-40 pilot in Burma. So imagine this, It's December 23rd, 1942, your flying along on a routine bombing mission to destroy a Japanese train yard and your Allison V-12 engine quits. The only option you have is to bail out of your plane. After landing on the ground you get sold out by a Burmese farmer and get captured by the Japanese. And then be a POW of the Japanese for the next eighteen months.
He said the worst beating he ever received from his captors was when he took the bath water and made soup out of it and fed it back to the Japanese. Now mind you this bath water was originally used by the camp commandant first, and then by the second in command, and then on down the ranks of the Japanese officers, and then the Japanese soldiers. AND then used by all the allied prisoners. It had to be pretty nasty by that point when he finally made the tea and soup.

The date on the back is June 2nd, 1944.
