Curious Hound will most likely attend. I'm currently negotiating how involved I will be with the event.

Sounds interesting. If all goes well, I'll be retired in January, but will need to find a new job to cover the income gap until I can collect my military retirement and dip into my 401(k). All that to say, I have no clue if I can attend or not.

Well. I had submitted the "creators and influencers" application. There were limited spots, lots of applicants and I'm not exactly a big fish in that pond. So, I'll just pay for a regular attendee pass. I'm slightly bummed. But I had emailed the organizer separate from my application and explained that I knew I wasn't a prime candidate.

He has done some other events in that area that I wish I had attended. New River Gorge is a great place and there are some cool things to see and do nearby. So I'll look forward to going.

But, will you be hosting a trail ride?
For real this is close enough I may be able to attend. Next year will be the first year of the Smokey Mountain Expo as well. I plan on attending it too. It will be in Pigeon Forge. Right outside Gatlinburg TN. Im trying to get Jordan to build a trailer and become a vendor. If he does I will most likely have to tow it for him. He said it just wouldn't hit the same if he showed up behind their work van haha.

Not sure. I will most likely join other official trail rides for that one. I’ll have to see how the event shapes up.

In previous years, John has done an “Expedition Appalachia” in that area. I’ll see if I can dig up one of their videos. They did high speed boat tours on the River, visited coal mines, visited an abandoned amusement park (really kind of creepy), etc. It’s not extremely far from where we’ll be for the Fall colors Campout. But I feel like it’s further away than we would want to drive for day trips on that campout. I’ve been wanting to explore the area.
