So has there been actual court cases? Or is it just trolls. If cases let's see links to the court websites...
I'm pretty sure there is a "fair use" thing to do with this type of use case.
Never mind the fact that most (I can probably safely assume most?) Of us arent making any money doing this. The closest argument they'd have would be selling parts. Most of the stuff I have ever put up on a forum is left overs that I either gave away or listed at a loss.

My Dad was a Law-PhD, he taught "Ethics in Law" and sat as a Judge. (So I can attest to.. "Not ALL Attorneys Are Shysters").

...But we all know that even a few "Shysters" can reek havoc on society as a whole. So given that, I'll simply use something that the average Shyster will need to literally resurrect from the Grave to sue over,(reads: circa WWII Era)...

Is mine ok? It's a government photo of someone painting the giant moon prop.

I’m not one of the official administrators, but I’d be afraid of the Moon suing you for misappropriation of its image. The issue would be jurisdiction.

The ones that seem to be the most problem are well known things like company logos, cartoon characters, or well known works by artists. In today's world, is anything other than personal artwork and photos safe? Your guess is as good as ours. The absolute safe bet is creations you have personally made and photos taken by yourself or immediate family. Long answer short, maybe yes?

I have used the original image as a reference point to "comic-ize" the photo. It is now an artistically recreated iteration of the original photo. I give full permission to the user @RobWigglezz for use of this image for any and all purposes.

I'm thinking that a moon would run afoul of indecent exposure laws.

And a big moon . . . would likely trigger an additional obesity intervention.

Just can't have any fun these days . . . can we?

I think you’re being culturally insensitive and inappropriate. I identify as an obese person who moons…
