What years did the Ranger use the dual tank setup? I may be in need of one to run my duals down each side. Does anyone have an auxilliary tank they'd want to get rid of?
Thanks

There was only a few years that got it back in the '80s and not all of them got it either. AllanD is the expert on that though.

check the for sale forum to find one, or the parts wanted forum to see if anyone has one. the ranger aux tank mounted in the rear where the spare tire mounts underneath, only 13 gal. the rear tank for the b2 was 23 gal. but is quite deep and really hangs down much lower than the smaller ranger tank.

I've checked the for sale section.. no luck.. thanks for the info tho.. the BII might still be ok.. 2wd and a Reese hitch to help protect it

just get a 2" BL and the B2 tank and call it a day.

The BII tank takes some work to fit in place, Zman went through that on one of his trucks.

If you're going to have your duals go straight out the back, a BII tank still might complicate things. My choptop has a single pipe straight out the rear and it's gotten smashed already.

I would get a picture of a auxillaury tank and then sheetmetal fab one of your own. By using a box shape instead of the factory rounded shape you would gain capacity without sacrificing size such as the b2 tank. There is a company that makes these for the bigger trucks but I dont know if they make them for the ranger, Just remember when designing to have a couple narrow sections for your straps.
