Hi All, New to TRS but I have a few questions. Im sure they have all been answered here but I want to make sure. I want to convert my 97 2.3 2wd to a 5 speed. I have a donor 93 ranger. What all will work and what will not. I know that the 2.3 blocks are different but should not affect the trans swap. Will the flywheel work. And is there a spacer that goes between the crank and the flywheel? Will the pedals from the 93 work in my 97. Are the clutch master cylinder the same for both trucks. Just in general here what am I going to need... I see alot of knowledge here on TRS. Another question Is Am I going to have to change the computer... Im pretty sure i will have to but i want to make sure will the trans harness for the 5 speed plug into my harness. I know the 93 is a obdI and my ranger is a obdII. Need help here.

Ok

Ok, I dont want to be that guy who just posts questions with obvious answers in the tech library.. ive been looking on here for a fews hours and have found alot of great information.. But not all of my answers.. I know i will need the transmission, pedals, clutch master cylinder, clutch line, those are obvious but what I cant find is do i have to change the computer Im pretty sure that I do on obdII all timing and engine functions are controlled by the ecu and the 4r44e that im replacing in also computer controlled.. Will a ecu froma 2.3 4x4 work?
