Hey there, I swapped a 97 4.0 automatic engine into 97 4wd standard ranger, I did not swap the old engine harness to the automatic, and now the truck won't start with key (fine with a jumper and switch), also the abs, cruise, speedo and odo do not work. The automatic harness has an extra plug the standard truck does not accept, do I need to jump wires in that plug on the engine side?

I'm confused. Was any wiring moved in the truck that won't start now? Was it 4.0 originally?
